Closing a Finding
When a finding has been created within the system, the assigned responsible party will receive an email notification with a finding alert.
Click on the View Assessment link in the email to view the finding. Assigned findings can also be accessed from the Home page under My Activities.
- Manually change the due date of this finding (Site admins only).
- Select this finding's urgency level (Site admins only).
- Choose this finding's responsible party (Finding managers and Finding admins only).
- Select the most applicable countermeasure.
- Describe the steps done to close this finding.
- Attach any relevant files to this finding.
- Click Close to close this finding.
Approving a Finding
If a finding with an approving party has been closed, the approving party will receive an email notification with a finding alert.
Click on the View Finding link in the email to view the finding.
The Approver will decide to Approve or Reject this finding.
If this approver Rejects actions taken to close finding, finding activity will reopen and action is required again by Responsible Party for this finding.
